So why the 4 stars instead of 5? You have to CONSTANTLY clean the trackball ball for a smooth operation. The scroll ring acts just like a scroll wheel on a mouse and is extremely accurate. Almost all other trackballs have no ability to scroll except to move the ball along the drawbar - and most trackballs' ball is too small to be delicate enough to just move a line at a time. The scroll ring is the high point of this trackball, since it is not a mouse, there is no scrolling wheel.
